Originally from late last century, K-pop usually includes boy or girl groups to perform music and dance. Based on the eras of K-pop history, there are totally five generatinos in K-pop, representing different music styles and different groups.
Since K-Pop is beloved by fans around the world, so I made charts about trend of K-pop's popularity from last century to 2020. The chart below is showing the general trend of K-pop by illustrating best K-pop selling albums in the last two decades.

In 2018, K-pop experienced significant growth and became a 'power player'. BTS, a boy group debuted in 2013, has paved the way for Kpop to make it win the worldwide populartiy. According to Spotify streams, BTS was the first group from Asia to surpass 5 billion streams on Spotify in 2019. And, as of February 2020, the boy band reached a new milestone: more than 8 billion streams on the platform.
I collected data of their selling albums from their first albums to the latest and made a chart reflecting the timeline of their popularity.
